Zach and Feliciana first met in 2012 as counselors at Covenant Pines Bible Camp, a place that has remained near and dear to both of them since. Many of the friendships they made there have lasted over the years, and they're especially excited to have so many of those camp friends celebrating with them at the wedding.

For most of the years that followed, life kept them in different states. Feliciana living in California, North Dakota, and Minnesota. Zach lived in Arizona from 2012 to 2025, but whenever he was back in Minnesota, he and Feliciana would usually find a time to grab coffee and catch up. No matter how much time had passed, their friendship always seemed to pick right back up where it left off.

There was also one detail Zach never quite got over: he had a crush on Feliciana pretty much the entire time. With them living in different states, though, he never really tried to do anything about it. Feliciana, meanwhile, loved catching up but truly just thought they were friends.

When Zach moved back to Minnesota in 2025, the timing ended up being more meaningful than either of them could have known. He came back into Feliciana's life during a year when she was grieving the loss of her dad. Through one of the hardest seasons of her life, Zach became a steady source of support. Their friendship had already lasted more than a decade, but during that time, Feliciana began to see Zach in a different light.

Of course, Zach likes to tell the story a little differently. He jokes that after moving home, he created an entire imaginary "whiteboard plan" in his head to finally make it out of the friend zone. Whether it was the whiteboard plan or simply thirteen years of friendship finally catching up with them, the more time they spent together, the clearer it became that what they had was becoming something more.

And once they crossed that line from friendship into something more, they quickly realized just how much they genuinely loved doing life together. At the heart of their relationship is a lot of laughter, fun, and shared excitement for experiencing life. They love traveling, cheering at sporting events, and trying new things. Just as important to both of them are the quieter moments spent surrounded by the people they love. Family and friendships mean so much to Zach and Feliciana, and some of their favorite memories are simply being together with the people who matter most. In many ways, their relationship feels like the best parts of their friendship never changed-they just got even better. 

What started at camp in 2012 became a friendship that lasted more than a decade. And somewhere between coffee catch-ups, a very determined imaginary whiteboard plan, adventures, laughter, loss, and simply showing up for one another, that friendship became something neither of them could imagine their lives without.

Now, they get to begin their next adventure the same way they've spent so much of their story: side by side, surrounded by the family and friends they love most.
